“The Crusaders organization are proud of Brayden, and his accomplishments this season,” said General Manager, Kyle Chase. “To virtually miss two years of hockey and come back and have the season that he had on a very good hockey team, he can be extremely proud of his accomplishments as well.”

Hyland played a key role in the Crusaders postseason run to the North Division Finals playing in all 12 games and scoring 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists).

“They (MacEwan University) have acquired one of the best teammates our organization has seen in years,” said Kyle Chase. “We wish the best of luck to Brayden.”

Hyland is the tenth Crusader to earn a post-secondary scholarship this season, joining Brandon Wallis (Concordia University), Carter Gylander (Colgate University), Will Zapernick (University of Alabama-Huntsville), Garrett Clegg (Robert Morris University), Zach Kaiser (University of Massachusetts Lowell) Brett Wieschorster (University of Vermont), Reid Irwin, Carter Savoie, and Michael Benning (University of Denver).
