Disciplinary Report 2017-2018

October 22, 2017 - Grande Prairie player, Colin MacPherson, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for Kicking an Opponent, during an October 21, 2017 game in Grande Prairie.  The suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

October 22, 2017 - Camrose player, Tate Coughlin, is suspended for one (1) game, as result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Abuse of an Official, during an October 21, 2017 game in Camrose.  The suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks’ next regularly scheduled League game.

October 19, 2017 - Spruce Grove player, Dylan Bourlai, has been suspended for four (4) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during an October 18, 2017 game in Spruce Grove.  The suspension is to be served during the Saints’ next four (4) regularly scheduled League games.

October 15, 2017 - Olds Grizzlys player, Juliano Santalucia, is suspended for four (4) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during an October 14, 2017 game in Olds. The suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next four (4) regularly scheduled League games.

Octoer 14, 2017 - Olds Grizzlys player, Ryley Smith, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Interference, during an October 13, 2017 game in Olds.  The suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 12, 2017 - The following players are each suspended for two (2) games, as a result of a multiple fight incident, which occurred during an October 11, 2017 game in Lloydminster:

  • Lloydminster players:  Cole Johnson, Evan Wood  
  • Spruce Grove players: Dylan Bourlai, Austin Palmiter

In addition, Lloydminster Coach, Travis Clayton, and Spruce Grove Coach, Bram Stephen, are each suspended for one (1) game.  These suspensions are to be served during the respective teams’ next one (1) and/or two (2) regularly scheduled League game and/or games.

October 8, 2017 - Sherwood Park player, Ben McLeod, has been suspended for five (5) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Direct Blow to the Head, during an October 7, 2017 game in Sherwood Park.  The suspension is to be served during the Crusaders’ next five (5) regularly scheduled League games.

October 4, 2017 - Calgary Mustangs player, Ayden Roche-Setoguchi, has been suspended for four (4) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Direct Blow to the Head, during an October 3, 2017 game in Calgary.   The suspension is to be served during the Mustangs’ next four (4) regularly scheduled League games.

September 28, 2017 - Grande Prairie player, Carter Harris, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Leaving his Bench to enter into an altercation during a September 29, 2017 Showcase game in Camrose.  This suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 25, 2017 - Olds Grizzlys’ player, Austin Pickford, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Slashing, during a September 24, 2017 game in Olds.  As a result of a multiple fight situation which ensued, the following suspensions have been assessed:

  • Olds players: Jack Berger – two (2) games; Spencer McHardy – two (2) games
  • Canucks players: Kyler Newman – two (2) games; Cooper Johnson – two (2) games
  • Olds goaltender: Andrew Henderson – three (3) games
  • Canucks goaltender: Ben Laidlaw – three (3) games
  • Olds Coach: Adam Redmond – one (1) game
  • Canucks Coach: Colin Birkas – one (1) game

In addition to the above suspensions, Olds player, Spencer McHardy is suspended for one (1) game for removing his helmet before becoming engaged in a fight.  and the respective teams’ goaltenders, Grizzlys Ben Laidlaw and Canucks Andrew Henderson, also receive an additional one (1) game suspension for removing their helmets before becoming involved in a fight.  These suspensions are to be served during respective teams’ next one (1), two (2), three (3) or four (4) regularly scheduled League game and / or games.

September 24, 2017 - Okotoks Oilers player, Tanner Laderoute, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for Kicking, during an September 23, 2017 game in Okotoks.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

September 24, 2017 - Okotoks Oilers player, Austin Wong, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Slashing, during an September 23, 2017 game in Okotoks.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 22, 2017 - Lloydminster player, Andrew Liwiski, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding, during a September 22, 2016 game in Fort McMurray.  This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 21, 2017 - Lloydminster player, Mike MacLean, has been suspended for four (4) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Direct Blow to the Head, during a September 20, 2017 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension is to be served during the Bobcats’ the next four (4) regularly scheduled League games.

September 20, 2017 - Grande Prairie player, Carter Harris, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Checking from Behind, during a September 19, 2017 game in Bonnyville.  This suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 20, 2017 - Grande Prairie player, Parker Smyth, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for High Sticking, during a September 19, 2017 game in Bonnyville. This suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 17, 2017 - Lloydminster player, Andrew Liwiski, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Interference from the Bench, during a September 16, 2017 game in Bonnyville.  The suspension is to be served during the Bobcats’ next regularly scheduled League game.

September 12, 2017 - Drumheller Dragons player, Kaden Hanas, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct under Hockey Canada Rule 9.2 (f), during a September 10, 2017 game in Brooks.  This suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next three (3) regularly scheduled games.

September 10, 2017 - Canmore player, Colton Young, has been suspended for four (4) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blind Side Hit to the Head, during a September 9, 2017 game in Canmore.  The suspension is to be served during the Eagles’ next regularly scheduled League Exhibition game and the Eagles’ first three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

September 9, 2017 - Brooks player, Dennis Cesana, and Drumheller player, Andrew Kartusch, are each suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being involved in a Multiple Fight situation, during a September 8, 2017 game in Drumheller. The suspensions are to be served during the respective teams’ next regularly scheduled Exhibition League game.

September 7, 2017 - Drayton Valley player, Sam De Meld, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Cross Checking, during a September 6, 2017 game in Drayton Valley.  This suspension is to be served during the Thunders’ next two (2) regularly scheduled Exhibition games.

September 5, 2017 - Okotoks Oilers player, Dylan Holloway, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for Spearing, during an September 4, 2017 game in Okotoks.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next two (2) scheduled League Exhibition games and the Oilers’ first (1) regularly scheduled League game.

August 30, 2017 - Whitecourt player, Kyle Schneider, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct for removing his helmet before becoming involved in a fight, during an August 30, 2017 game in Drumheller.  This suspension is to be served during the Wolverines’ next regularly scheduled exhibition game.
