Disciplinary Report 2018-2019

April 14, 2019 - Brooks Bandits player, Carter Wolski, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding, during an April 13, 2019 game in Brooks.   The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Bandits’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League playoff games.

April 13, 2019 - Brooks player, Ray Christy, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during an April 12, 2019 game in Brooks.   The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Bandits next two (2) regularly scheduled League Playoff games.

March 31, 2019 - Brooks player, Nathan Plesis, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a March 30, 2019 game in Brooks.   The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Bandits’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League Playoff games.

March 29, 2019 - The Calgary Canucks have appealed the decision of the AJHL Management Committee regarding an incident during a playoff game on March 7th between the Okotoks Oilers and Calgary Canucks.  As a result of the appeal, Okotoks player Quinn Olson and Okotoks head coach Tyler Deis are each suspended for one (1) game. 

It is the opinion of the AJHL Board of Governors that based on the information provided, Quinn Olson should have been aware of the Misconduct penalty assessed to him and not have returned to the ice.   It is the opinion of the AJHL Board of Governors that as head coach, Tyler Deis is ultimately responsible for the actions of his bench whether he had knowledge of the penalty assessed to Quinn Olson or not.  The suspensions will be served during the March 29th, 2019 AJHL Playoff Game in Brooks, AB.

March 16, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a Minor Penalty for Cross Checking assessed to Canmore player, Tian Rask, during a March 15, 2019 game in Brooks.  The review has found that the Eagles’ player, Tian Rask, should have been assessed a
Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head.   Therefore, Canmore player, Tian Rask, is suspended for two (2) games as per Rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Eagles’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League Playoff games.

March 1, 2019 - Bonnyville player Noah Lugli and Lloydminster player Logan Bromhead, are each suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being involved in a Secondary Fight, during a March 1, 2019 game in Bonnyville.   These suspensions fall under rule #7.1 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspensions are to be served during the respective teams’ next regularly scheduled League game.

February 27, 2019 - Calgary Mustangs player, Jarret Timmerman, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct, during a February 26, 2019 game in Calgary.  The suspension falls under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Mustangs next regularly scheduled League game.

February 27, 2019 - Canmore player, Tian Rask, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Cross Checking, during a February 26, 2019 game in Calgary.  The suspension falls under rule #8.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

February 24, 2019 - Spruce Grove player, Cole Basnett, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a February 24, 2019 game in Spruce Grove. The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Saints next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

February 24, 2019 - Lloydminster player, Ben Bygrove, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Slashing, during an February 23 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

February 23, 2019 - Whitecourt Wolverines player, Tommy Cardinal, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his fifth (5th) accumulative fighting major Penalty of the year, during a February 22, 2019 game in Fort McMurray.  The suspension falls under rule #7.9 of the Junior A Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Wolverines next regularly scheduled League game.

February 22, 2019 - Bonnyville player, Matthew Monk, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a February 22, 2019 game in Grande Prairie.  The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Pontiacs next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

February 20, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Lloydminster player, Breydon Berthold, during a Feb 18, 2019 game in Spruce Grove.  The review has found that the Bobcats player, Breydon Berthold, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head.  Therefore, Lloydminster player, Breydon Berthold, is suspended for three (3) games as per Rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement. The suspension is to be served during the Bobcats next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

February 16, 2019 - Canmore Eagles player, Taden Rattie, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his sixth (6th) Accumulative Penalty of the year, during a February 15, 2019 game in Canmore.  The suspension falls under section 5.1 of the Junior A Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next regularly scheduled League game.

February 15, 2019 - Canmore player, Max Giangualano, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Cross Checking, during a February 15, 2019 game in Canmore.   The suspension falls under rule #8.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

February 14, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a Checking from Behind Minor Penalty assessed to Jackson Wozniak of the Grande Prairie Storm, during a February 13, 2019 game in Lloydminster.  The review has found that the Storm player, Jackson Wozniak, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Checking from Behind.  Therefore, Grande Prairie player, Jackson Wozniak, is suspended for two (2) games as per Rule #3.1 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

February 10, 2019 - Calgary Mustangs player, Reece Soukoroff, is suspended for five (5) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Slashing, during an February 10, 2019 game in Camrose.   The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Mustangs’ next five (5) regularly scheduled League games.

February 8, 2019 - Olds Grizzlys’ player, Kaiden Kanderka, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed his third (3rd) Accumulative Penalty for a Blow to the Head, this year, during a February 7, 2019 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under section 1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games, immediately following the serving of his one (1) game suspension for Total Accumulations.

February 8, 2019 - Olds Grizzlys’ player, Kaiden Kanderka, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his seventh (7th) Accumulative Penalty of the year, during a February 7, 2019 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under section 8.1 of the Junior “A” Supplement.   This suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next regularly scheduled League game.

February 4, 2019 - Spruce Grove Saints’ player, Dylan Bourlai, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his fifth (5th) Accumulative Penalty of the year, during a February 3, 2019 game in Drayton Valley.  The suspension falls under section 8.1 of the Junior A Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Saints’ next regularly scheduled League game.

February 2, 2019 - Okotoks player, Louis Jamernick, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a February 2, 2019 game in Olds.  The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 31, 2019 - A video review has taken place on an incident which occurred during a January 29, 2019 game in Okotoks.  The review has found that Okotoks player, Austin Wong, came off the players’ bench to engage with an opponent on the ice. This action should have seen him assessed with a Game Misconduct.  Therefore, Canucks’ player, Austin Wong, is suspended for one (1) game. under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next regularly scheduled League game.

January 31, 2019 - Spruce Grove player, Dylan Bourlai, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his second Instigator Penalty of the season, during a January 30, 2019 game in Camrose.  This penalty falls under rule #6.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Saints’ next regularly scheduled League game.

January 25, 2019 - Drayton Valley player, Kabe Bleay, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for Butt Ending, during a January 24, 2019 game in Drayton Valley.   The suspension falls under rule #3.12 of the AJHL Bylaws.  This suspension is to be served during Drayton Valley's next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

January 20, 2019 - Camrose Kodiaks’ player, Brennan Davis, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Interference from the Bench, during a January 19, 2019 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks’ next regularly scheduled League game.

January 20, 2019 - a video review has taken place on a Double Minor Penalty for High Sticking assessed to Oil Barons’ player, Ryan Conroy, during a January 19, 2019 game in Bonnyville.  The review has found that the Ft McMurray player, Ryan Conroy, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for High Sticking. Therefore, Oil Barons’ player, Ryan Conroy, is suspended for two (2) games as per rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  The suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 18, 2019 - Camrose player, Jacob Kendall, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Checking from Behind, during a January 18, 2019 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under rule # 3.1 of the Junior A Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 18, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a Minor Penalty for Checking from Behind assessed to Mustangs player, Liam Freeborn, during a January 17, 2019 game in Calgary.  The review has found that the Calgary Mustangs player, Liam Freeborn, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for a Check from Behind.   Therefore, Mustangs’ player, Liam Freeborn, is suspended for two (2) games as per Rule #3.1 of the Junior A Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Mustangs’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 17, 2019 - Calgary Canucks’ player, Korbyn Chabot, is suspended for two (2) games as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Charging, during a January 16, 2019 game in Calgary.  The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   The suspension is to be served during the Canucks’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 13, 2019 - Canucks’ player, Brett Balas, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Interference from the Bench, during a January 13, 2019 game in Canmore.  The suspension falls under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Canucks’ next regularly scheduled League game.

January 13, 2019 - Canmore player, Finn Withey, has been suspended for five (5) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for a Blind Side Hit to the Head, during a January 13, 2019 game in Canmore.   The suspension falls under Regulation #2 (Rule #2.1) of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Eagles’ next five (5) regularly scheduled League games.

January 13 2019 - Canmore Eagles player, Michael Spafford, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding, during a January 13, 2019 game in Canmore.   The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Eagles’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 13, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Drayton Valley player, Tanner Foster, during a January 12, 2019 game in Fort McMurray.  The review has found that Drayton Valley player, Tanner Foster, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head.   Therefore Tanner Foster is suspended for two (2) games as per Rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Thunders’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 12, 2019 - Canmore player, Daly Hamilton, and Olds player, Dylan Wells, are each suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being involved in a Secondary Fight, during a January 12, 2019 game in Olds.   These suspensions fall under rule #7.1 of the Junior A Supplement.   The suspensions are to be served during the respective teams’ next regularly scheduled League game.

January 4, 2019 - Olds Grizzlys player, Kaiden Kanderka, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his sixth (6th) Accumulative Penalty of the year, during a January 4, 2019 game in Bonnyville.  The suspension falls under section 8.1 of the Junior “A” Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next regularly scheduled League game.

January 4, 2019 - Drumheller player, Dawson Bruneski, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a January 4, 2019 game in Drumheller.  The suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 4, 2019 - Grande Prairie player, Xavier Pouliot, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding, during a January 4, 2019 game in Grande Prairie.   This suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

January 4, 2019 - As the result of a violation of rule 9.6C - Physical Harassment of Officials of the Hockey Canada Official Playing Rules - in a game on December 15, 2018, Brandon Brazeau of the Calgary Canucks is suspended from organized hockey under the jurisdiction of Hockey Canada and its member branches for twenty-five (25) games * reduced to (18) games.

December 31, 2018 - Sherwood Park player, Carter Savoie, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Checking from Behind, during a December 30, 2018 game in Spruce Grove.  This suspension is to be served during the Crusaders’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

December 20, 2018 - Spruce Grove player, Stanley Cooley, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct, during a December 19, 2018 game in Sherwood Park.  The suspension falls under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Saints’ next regularly scheduled League game.

December 20, 2108 - Dylan Bourlai, is suspended for seven (7) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for a Direct Blow to the Head, during a December 19, 2018 game in Sherwood Park.  The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Saints’ next seven (7) regularly scheduled League games.

December 20, 2018 - Spruce Grove player, Cole Basnett, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct, during a December 19, 2018 game in Sherwood Park.  The suspension falls under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Saints’ next regularly scheduled League game.

December 15, 2108 - Lloydminster player, Tucker Scantlebury, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for Cross Checking, during a December 15, 2018 game in Canmore.  The suspension falls under rule #3.12 of the AJHL Bylaws.  This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

December 14, 2018 - The following players have each been suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being involved in a Staged Fight, during a December 14, 2018 game in Sherwood Park: Brett Wieschorster (Crusaders) and Tommy Cardinal (Wolverines). These suspensions fall under rule # 7.4.1 of the Junior 'A' Supplement.  The suspensions are to be served during the respective teams’ next three (3) regularly League games.

December 14, 2108 - Olds player, Kaiden Kanderka, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a December 14, 2018 game in Olds.  The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior 'A' Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

In addition, Olds Grizzlys player, Kaiden Kanderka, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his fifth (5th) Accumulative Penalty of the year, during a December 14, 2018 game in Olds.  The suspension falls under section 8.1 of the Junior “A” Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the first League Game after completion of Kaiden’s above mentionned two game suspension.

December 14, 2018 - Canmore player, Taden Rattie, is suspended for one (1) game as result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Abuse of an Official, during a December 14, 2018 game in Canmore.  This suspension falls under rule 3.13 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Eagles’ next regularly scheduled League game.

December 8, 2018 - Drayton Valley player, Dexton Mozell, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Interference, during a December 7, 2018 game in Drayton Valley.   The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Thunders’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

December 7, 2018 - Whitecourt player, Mackenzie Harden, is suspended for one (1) game, as result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Abuse of an Official, during an December 7, 2018 game in Calgary.  This suspension falls under rule 3.13 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Wolverines’ next regularly scheduled League game.

December 7, 2018 - Camrose player, Cale Chalifoux, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Interference, during a December 7, 2018 game in Camrose.   The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

December 7, 2018 - Grande Prairie player, Noah Corson, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Match Penalty for Spitting, during a December 7, 2018 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under rule #9.7 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook and AJHL Bylaw 9.7.  The suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

December 3, 2018 - Drumheller player, Garrett Johnson, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed his third Blow to the Head Minor Penalty of the season, during a December 2, 2018 game in Lloydminster.   This suspension falls under the Junior “A” Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

November 25, 2018 - Calgary Canucks' player, Leighton Burns-Marion, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct under Hockey Canada Rule 9.2 (f), during a November 24, 2018 game in Calgary.  This suspension is to be served during the Canucks’ next three (3) scheduled games.

November 25, 2018 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Brooks player, Wyatt Villalta, during a November 21, 2018 game in Brooks.   Bandits’ player, Wyatt Villalta, was originally assessed a Major Penalty for Fighting, but the review has found that Mr. Villalta should have been assessed a Match Penalty for Deliberate Attempt to Injure.  Therefore, Brooks Bandits’ player, Wyatt Villalta, is suspended for ten (10) games as per Rule #1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.

November 23, 2018 - Brooks player, Ray Christy, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a November 23, 2018 game in Lloydminster.  The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Bandits’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

November 21, 2018 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Canmore Eagles’ player, Kazu Prevost, during a November 20, 2018 game in Canmore.  The review has found that the Eagles’ player, Kazu Prevost, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing. Therefore, Canmore Eagles’ player, Kazu Prevost, is suspended for two (2) games as
per Rule #8.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  The suspension is to be served during the Eagles’ next two (2) regularly scheduled
League games.

November 21, 2018 - Camrose player, Jacob Kendall, is suspended for one (1) game, as result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Abuse of an Official, during an November 20, 2018 game in Bonnyville.  This suspension falls under rule 3.13 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks’ next regularly scheduled League game.

November 19, 2018 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Okotoks’ player, Quinn Olson, during a November 17, 2018 game in Okotoks.  The review has found that the Oilers’ player, Quinn Olson, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head. Therefore, Okotoks’ player, Quinn Olson, is suspended for two (2) games as per Rule #1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next two (2) regularly scheduled
League games.

November 18, 2018 - Okotoks player, Austin Wong, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for a blow to the head, during a November 17, 2018 game in Okotoks. The original call of charging was changed to a blow to the head after all the information had been reviewed.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

November 18, 2018 - Okotoks player, Barrett Sheen, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed the second goaltender interference penalty of the game during a November 17, 2018 game in Okotoks.   The suspension falls under rule #2.6 of the Junior A Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Okotoks’ next regularly scheduled League game.

November 17, 2018 - Drumheller Dragons' Brett Edwards is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed a Gross Misconduct under Hockey Canada Rule 9.2 (f), during a November 16, 2018 game in Drumheller.  This suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next three (3) scheduled games.

November 17, 2018 - Fort McMurray player, Chad MacLean, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for cross checking, during a November 17, 2018 game in Grande Prairie.  The suspension falls under rule #8.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook. This suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

November 16, 2018 - Sherwood Park player, Michael Bentz, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for checking from behind, during a November 16, 2018 game in Drumheller.  The suspension falls under rule # 3.1 of the Jr A Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Crusaders’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

November 12, 2018 - Okotoks player, Spencer McHardy, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed his fourth kneeing penalty of this season, during a November 10, 2018 game in Drayton Valley.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

November 10, 2018 - Drumheller player, Jordan Taupert, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for a blow to the head, during a November 10, 2018 game in Calgary.   The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

November 8, 2018 - Sherwood Park player, Jayden Platz, is suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being assessed his second instigator penalty of the season, during a November 7, 2018 game in Fort McMurray.   This ruling falls under rule #6.2 of the Junior 'A' Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Crusaders’ next regularly scheduled League game. 

November 5, 2018 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Olds Grizzlys player, Kaiden Kanderka, during a November 3, 2018 game in Olds. The review has found that Grizzlys player, Kaiden Kanderka, should have been assessed a minor penalty for kneeing; the call has been elevated to a major penalty.  Olds Grizzlys player, Kaiden Kanderka, is suspended for two (2) games as per Rule #8.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook. The suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

November 4, 2018 - Okotoks player, Spencer McHardy, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed his third kneeing penalty of this season, during a November 3, 2018 game in Okotoks.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

November 2, 2018 - Olds player, Lukas Jirousek, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a match penalty for checking from behind, during a November 2, 2018 game in Olds.  The suspension falls under rule # 3.1 of the Junior A Supplement.  This suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

October 29, 2018 - Okotoks player, Barrett Sheen, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for interference, during an October 28, 2018 game in Lloydminster.   The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 14, 2018 - Drayton Valley player, Tanner Foster, is suspended five (5) games for violation of AJHL Bylaw 19.4 (vii).  The suspension is to be served during the next five (5) scheduled League games of the Drayton Valley Thunder.

October 14, 2018 - Canmore player, Tian Rask, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Slashing, during an October 13, 2018 game in Canmore.  The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Eagles next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 14, 2018 - The following players have been suspended two (2) games for being involved in a fight after the final buzzer to end the game in Calgary on October 14, 2018: Calgary Canucks Adamu Tanaka, Grande Prairie Storm Xavier Pouliot.  The suspensions fall under rule 7.5 of the Junior “A” Supplement.  The suspensions are to be served during the next two (2) scheduled League games of the Canucks and Storm.

October 13, 2018 - Violation of AJHL Article 1.1 (Number of Players in Uniform): Each member team will be allowed a maximum of six (6) twenty 20 year-old players on their HCR roster and Affiliate List combined.  The Drayton Valley Thunder had seven (7) twenty (20) year old players combined, and as a result, the Thunder roster for the October 13th game vs the Fort McMurray Oil Barons is deemed ineligible.  The result of the game will now be classified as a regulation win for the Oil Barons and the points originally earned will be taken away from the Thunder.

October 13, 2018 - Okotoks player, Barrett Sheen, is suspended for three (3) games as a result of being assessed gross misconduct under Hockey Canada Rule 9.2 (f), during a October 13, 2018 game in Okotoks.  This suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next three (3) scheduled games.

October 12, 2018 - Calgary Canucks player, Max Struss, and Okotoks Oilers player, Carson Dyck, are each suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being involved in a secondary fight, during an October 12, 2018 game in Okotoks.  This penalty falls under rule #7.1 of the Junior “A” Supplement.  The suspensions are to be served during the respective teams’ next regularly scheduled League game.

October 11, 2018 - Lloydminster player, Drew Warkentine, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during an October 11, 2018 game in Sherwood Park.   The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Bobcat’s next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 8, 2018 - Camrose Kodiak player, Carson Welke, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for kneeing, during an October 7, 2018 game in Camrose.   The suspension falls under rule #8.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   The suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 7, 2018 - Whitecourt player, Kurtis Labant, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for charging, during a October 6, 2018 game in Whitecourt.  The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Wolverines’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 7, 2018 - Lloydminster Bobcats’ player, Matthew Mohrbutter, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for cross checking, during a October 6, 2018 game in Lloydminster.   The suspension falls under rule #8.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Bobcats’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 29, 2018 - Whitecourt player, Ben Evanish, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for checking from behind, during a September 29, 2018 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under rule # 3.1 of the Junior A Supplement.   This suspension is to be served during the Wolverines’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 28, 2019 - Brooks player, Ryan Mahshie, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty, during a September 28, 2018 game in Camrose. The initial call on the ice was a major for charging.  After a League review,
the penalty was changed to a major for boarding.  The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.   This suspension is to be served during the Bandits’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 28, 2019 - Grande Prairie player, Xavier Pouliot, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for a blow to the head during a September 28, 2018 game in Camrose. The suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 28, 2018 - Drumheller player, Kaden Hanas, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for checking from behind, during a September 27, 2018 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under rule # 3.1 of the AJHL Supplement.   This suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 27, 2018 - Okotoks player, Austin Wong, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a match penalty for spitting during a September 27, 2018 game in Camrose.  The suspension falls under rule #9.7 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook and AJHL Bylaw 3.12.  The suspension is to be served during the Oilers’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

September 24, 2018 - Fort McMurray player, Jack Hamly, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a match penalty for kicking, during a September 23, 2018 game in Bonnyville.  The suspension falls under rule #3.12 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Oil Barons’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

September 19, 2018 - Drumheller player, Dylan Wenzel, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a major penalty for Charging, during a September 18, 2018 game in Drumheller.  The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Dragons next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 17, 2018 - A video review has taken place on a Checking from Behind minor penalty assessed to Grayson Constable of the Bonnyville Pontiacs, during a September 15, 2018 game in Whitecourt. The review has found that the Pontiacs’ player, Grayson Constable, should have been assessed a major penalty for Checking from Behind.   Bonnyville player, Grayson Constable, is suspended for three (3) games as per Rule #3.1 of the Junior “A” Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Pontiacs next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

September 15, 2018 - After review of the Match Penalty assessed to Bonnyville player, Ty Enns, during the September 14, 2018 game in Whitecourt, a Game Misconduct has been assessed.  As a result, Bonnyville player, Ty Enns, is suspended for one (1) game.  The suspension falls under rule #3.10 of the AJHL Bylaws. The suspension is to be served during the Pontiacs’ September 15, 2018 game in Whitecourt.

September 8, 2018 - Calgary Canucks player, Jackson Hogg, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Charging, during a September 7, 2018 game in Okotoks.  The suspension falls under rule #6.3 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Canucks’ next two (2) regularly scheduled Exhibition and / or League games.
