Disciplinary Report 2019-2020

October 11, 2019 - Olds player, Josh McNeil, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Cross Checking, during an October 11, 2019 game in Banff.  The suspension falls under rule #8.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Grizzlys’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 6, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a Minor Penalty for Interference assessed to Wolverines’ player, Cassidy Bowes, during an October 4, 2019 game in Drayton Valley.  The review has found that Whitecourt player, Cassidy Bowes, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Interference with Injury.  The penalty falls under #7.3 of the Hockey Canada Rule Book.  Therefore, Wolverines’ player, Cassidy Bowes, is suspended for three (3) games.  The suspension is to be served during the Wolverines’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

October 6, 2019 - Sherwood Park player, Jarred White, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for breaking an opponent’s stick while on his own bench, during an October 5, 2019 game in Okotoks.  The suspension falls under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws. The suspension is to be served during the Crusaders’ next regularly scheduled League
game.

October 5, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Kodiaks’ player, Lane Brockoff, during an October 4, 2019 game in Brooks.  The review has found that Kodiaks’ player, Lane Brockoff, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head.  Therefore, Kodiaks’ player, Lane Brockoff, is suspended for two (2) games as per Rule #1.2 of the Junior A Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Kodiaks’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

October 5, 2019 - Brooks player, Mason Reeves, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during an October 4, 2019 game in Brooks. The original call of Boarding was changed to a Blow to the Head after all the information had been reviewed.  The suspension falls under rule #1.1 of the Junior A Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Bandits’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 28, 2019 - Drumheller Dragon player, Steven Zonneveld, is suspended for three (3) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Kneeing, which injured an opponent, during a September 27, 2019 game in Camrose.  The suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next three (3) regularly scheduled League games.

September 28, 2019 - Grande Prairie player, Lukas Jirousek, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during a September 27, 2018 game in Camrose.   The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Storms’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 25, 2019 - Bonnyville player, Thomas Kramer, is suspended for one (1) game as a result of being assessed a Game Misconduct for Interference from the Bench, during a September 24, 2019 game in Fort McMurray.  The suspension falls under rule #3.11 of the AJHL Bylaws.  The suspension is to be served during the Pontiacs next regularly scheduled League game.

September 23, 2019 - Sherwood Park player, Brett Wieschorster, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being involved in a Secondary One Man Fight, during a September 21, 2019 game in Sherwood Park.  This penalty falls under rule #7.1 of the Junior “A” Supplement.   The suspension is to be served during the Crusaders’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 19, 2019 - A video review has taken place on a hit delivered by Lloydminster player, Jared Miller, during a September 18, 2019 game in Lloydminster.  The review has found that the Lloydminster player, Jared Miller, should have been assessed a Major Penalty for Boarding.  Therefore, Lloydminster player, Jared Miller, is suspended for two (2) games, as per rule #8.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook. The suspension is to be served during the Bobcats’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 19, 2019 - Calgary Canucks’ player, Michael Bladon, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Interference, during a September 18, 2019 game in Calgary.  The suspension falls under rule #8.2 of the Hockey Canada Rulebook.  This suspension is to be served during the Canucks’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 9, 2019 - Brooks player, Sean Chisholm, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for Cross Checking, during a September 7, 2019 game in Okotoks.  This suspension is to be served during the Bandits’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League games.

September 9, 2019 - Brooks player, Mason Reeves, and Okotoks player, Ayden Roche-Setoguchi, are each suspended for one (1) game, as a result of being involved in a Secondary Fight, during a September 7, 2019 game in Okotoks.   The suspensions are to be served during the respective teams’ next regularly scheduled League game.

August 31, 2019 - Drumheller player, Joel Patsey, is suspended for two (2) games, as a result of being assessed a Major Penalty for a Blow to the Head, during an August 30, 2019 game in Drumheller.  The suspension falls under rule #1.2 of the Junior “A” Supplement.  The suspension is to be served during the Dragons’ next two (2) regularly scheduled League exhibition games.
