CALGARY, Alberta – NHL Central Scouting today released the Final Rankings for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Twenty CJHL players from four leagues were identified in the Final Rankings, including 18 skaters and two goaltenders.
Jake Walman of the Toronto Jr A Canadiens (OJHL) is the recipient of the CJHL’s Top NHL Prospect Award as the highest ranked CJHL player at 47th on the North American Skaters list. OJHL Top Prospect and Rookie-of-the-Year, Jake Walman, joined the Jr Canadiens this season as a 17-year old rookie. He was a member of Team Canada East at the 2013 World Junior A Challenge held in Yarmouth, NS and a member of the OJHL South-West Conference All-Star Team that finished as runner-up at the 2013 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge in Terrebonne, QC. Walman recorded 33 points in 43 games played in the regular season. He is committed to join the Providence College Friars beginning next season.
In January 2014, the NHL Central Scouting Mid-Term Rankings included 19 CJHL Players. Jake Walman was the highest ranked CJHL player at #60 amongst North American Skaters.

In 2013, 15 players were identified in the Final Rankings and 12 players were drafted in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in Newark, NJ. The 2014 NHL Entry Draft will be held June 27 & 28, 2014 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
