The 2013 South Division Semi-Finals will commence in Brooks and Okotoks on Friday, March 15th. The Brooks Bandits will host the Drumheller Dragons, and the Okotoks Oilers will take home ice advantage against the Camrose Kodiaks. The South Division Semi-Finals are a best-of-seven series.
Brooks captured the South Division and earned a first round bye for the second straight year as Regular Season Champions. Drumheller swept the Canmore Eagles to advance to Round Two of the 2013 AJHL Gas Drive Playoffs. The Bandits posted a regular season record of 53-4-3 and 109 points, while the Dragons were 4th in the South Division with 63 points and a record of 29-26-5. The Bandits dominated the regular season series against the Dragons with a 6-0 record.
AJHL Commissioner Ryan Bartoshyk will present members of the Brooks Bandits with several League Awards prior to the opening game in the series on March 15th. Awards will include Coach of the Year, League MVP, Top Goaltenders and the 2102-2013 Dave Duchak Trophy.

The Okotoks Oilers eliminated the Olds Grizzlys in Game 5 on Tuesday night to advance to the South Division Semi-Finals. The Camrose Kodiaks advanced to Round Two with a 3-1 series victory over the Calgary Mustangs. Okotoks and Camrose finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the South Division standings. The Oilers had 80 regular season points and a 38-18-4 record, and the Kodiaks were 35-19-6 for 76 points.
Okotoks won the regular season series 4-2 over Camrose, with two games in the series extending beyond regulation time.

The 2013 North Division Semi-Finals will begin on Thursday, March 14th in the AJHL communities of Spruce Grove and Bonnyville. Two Edmonton area teams will meet as Spruce Grove and Sherwood Park face off in a highly anticipated Semi-Final series. The Bonnyville Pontiacs will battle the AJHL’s newest team, the Whitecourt Wolverines, in the opposing North Division series.
Round Two: Division Semi-Finals
The first place team in each division at the completion of the regular season will receive a bye to Round Two of the AJHL Playoffs. The first place team in each division will play the lowest place team remaining in their division and the next highest placed team will play the other team in a best-of-seven series.
The highest ranked seed is awarded home ice advantage in the 2013 AJHL Gas Drive Playoffs.
Round Three: League Semi-Finals
The remaining two teams in each division will playoff for the title of Division Champion and advance to the 2013 AJHL Gas Drive Cup Final.
Round Four – AJHL Gas Drive Cup: League Final
The North Division Champion and the South Division Champion will compete in the League Final for the 2013 AJHL Gas Drive Cup.
