AJHL Names 2024-25 Viterra AJHL All-Rookie Teams
The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) is proud to announce the 2024-25 Viterra AJHL All-Rookie Teams as selected by the General Managers and Coaches of the AJHL. Each team includes one goalie, two defencemen and three forwards from the respective division.
Viterra AJHL North Division All-Rookie Team

- F Leo Adams – Fort McMurray Oil Barons
- F Cooper Moore – Lloydminster Bobcats

Viterra AJHL South Division All-Rookie Team
- G Matthew Kondro – Drumheller Dragons
- D Kohyn Pipke – Drayton Valley Thunder
- D Nathan Maloney – Calgary Canucks
- F Easton Daneault – Drumheller Dragons
- F Ellis Mieyette – Drumheller Dragons
- F Nolan Dupont – Calgary Canucks
The Viterra AJHL South Division All-Rookie Team is dominated by three players from the Drumheller Dragons and two from the Calgary Canucks. The Grande Prairie Storm and Fort McMurray Oil Barons are both represented by two players on the Viterra AJHL North Division All-Rookie Team
2024-25 AJHL Rookie of the Year, Easton Daneault (Dragons), was selected to the All-Rookie rosters as well as award finalists Nathan Maloney (Canucks) and Cooper Moore (Bobcats). Maloney was also the recipient of the 2024-25 AJHL Outstanding Defenceman Award. Both Daneault and Maloney are unanimous selections to the Viterra AJHL South Division All-Rookie Team as voted by the General Managers and Coaches of the AJHL.
Easton Daneault (Dragons) and Nolan Dupont (Canucks) led all AJHL rookies in scoring with 56 points (21G, 35A), tied for seventh overall in the AJHL Scoring Race. Nathan Maloney (Canucks) led all AJHL defencemen with 40 points (13G, 27A), ranking eighth among AJHL rookies in points.
Ellis Mieyette (Dragons), Nolan Dupont (Canucks) and Nathan Maloney (Canucks) represented Canada and the AJHL at the 2024 Junior A World Challenge and captured a bronze medal in the international event as members of Team Canada West.
Three players selected to the Viterra AJHL South Division All-Rookie Team have committed to NCAA Division I programs; Ellis Mieyette (Lindenwood University), Easton Daneault (Merrimack College) and Nathan Maloney (Quinnipiac University).
The 2024-25 Viterra AJHL All-League Teams will be announced on Thursday, April 10th, 2025. Each team will include one goalie, two defencemen and three forwards from the respective division (North and South).
