The Alberta Junior Hockey League has announced the schedule for the 2012 South Division Final between the Brooks Bandits and Olds Grizzlys. The best-of-seven series will begin on Friday, March 23rd in Brooks, Alberta.
The AJHL Regular Season Champion Brooks Bandits led the South Division to earn a bye to Round Two of the 2012 AJHL Playoffs. The Bandits then swept the Calgary Canucks (4-0) in the South Division Semi-Final.
The Olds Grizzlys defeated the Calgary Mustangs (3-1) in Round One of the 2012 AJHL Playoffs. In Round Two, Olds upset the Okotoks Oilers in six games to advance to the South Division Final.
The Brooks Bandits completed the regular season with 100 points, 1st overall in the AJHL. Olds completed the regular season in 5th spot in the South Division with 49 points. The Bandits won the regular season series versus the Grizzlys with a 5-1 record. The Bandits outscored the Grizzlys 22-9.
The winner of the South Division Final will claim the title of 2012 Division Champion and advance to the 2012 AJHL Enerflex Cup League Final versus the North Division Champion. The Olds Grizzlys last advanced to the AJHL Final in 1994-1995; an appearance in the League Final would be a first for the Bandits organization.

Round Four: League Final – April 6th – April 16th
The North Division Champion and the South Division Champion will compete in the League Final for the 2012 AJHL Enerflex Cup.
2012 Doyle Cup (AB / BC Championship)
A best of seven series, which will commence in Alberta on April 20th. The winner will represent the Pacific Division at the 2012 RBC Cup in Humboldt, SK from May 5th – 13th.
