January 10th, 2012 is the CJHL Trade Deadline, at which time all Junior Teams must reduce their rosters to a maximum of 23 players. Below is a summary of the trades made by the AJHL at the 2012 Trade Deadline:
- The Drayton Valley Thunder trade the CHA rights Brandon Warmington to the Thunder Bay Northstars (SIJHL) for future considerations
- The Camrose Kodiaks acquire the CHA rights of Dylan Schellenberg from the Estevan Bruins (SJHL), completing a transaction from October 6, 2011
- The Drayton Valley Thunder trade the CHA rights of Stephen Klein to the North Bay Trappers (NOJHL) for future considerations
- The Calgary Mustangs trade the CHA/AJHL rights of Damien Kulunych to the Bonnyville Pontiacs for future considerations
- The Drumheller Dragons trade the CHA/AJHL rights of Mitch Owsley to the Olds Grizzlys for future considerations
- The Fort McMurray Oil Barons acquire the CHA rights of Mike Puddifant from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL) for future considerations
- The Olds Grizzlys trade the CHA rights of Hunter Stewart to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL) for the CHA rights of Kirsten Odendaal
- The Lloydminster Bobcats acquire the CHA rights of Izaak Breglund and Michael King from the Westside Warriors (BCHL) for future considerations
- The Fort McMurray Oil Barons trade the CHA/AJHL rights of Wyat Haustein to the Canmore Eagles for future considerations
- The Spruce Grove Saints trade the AJHL rights of Hayden Dawes and future considerations to the Canmore Eagles for the CHA/AJHL rights of Garrett Taylor
- The Spruce Grove Saints acquire the CHA rights of Mike Moran from the Victoria Grizzlies (BCHL) for future considerations
- The Spruce Grove Saints trade the CHA rights of Trevor Tracy to the Estevan Bruins (SJHL) for future considerations
- The Bonnyville Pontiacs trade the CHA/AJHL rights of Paul Lamoureux to the Canmore Eagles for future considerations
