Assistant Captain Kyle Harris Headed to NAIT

The Lloydminster Jr. ‘A’ Bobcats are proud to announce that 20 year old centre Kyle Harris has accepted a scholarship and is committed to play for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Ooks Men’s Hockey Program of the Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference (ACAC). Kyle plans to

20 year old forward Kyle Harris (Edmonton, AB) was second in scoring for the Bobcats this past season, generating 29 goals and 26 assists for 55 points in 60 games played. 2011-12 marked Kyle’s third year with the Bobcats, and his second as an assistant captain. Kyle was named to the AJHL Reebok North Division All-League Team and also received a nomination for the 2011-2012 AJHL Most Valuable Player Award. Over his 3 year Jr. ‘A’ career, Kyle scored 66 goals and 76 assists for 142 points in 192 games, while also accumulating a total of 337 penalty minutes.

A community-minded fan favourite, Kyle was selected as the 2011-2012 Boundary RV & Marine Fan Choice Award as voted on by Bobcats fans. While with the team Kyle also took the initiative to create The Harris Show, a weekly Bobcats podcast featuring interviews from various players on the team, Building on this experience, Kyle intends to enroll in the Radio and Television Program at NAIT.
