Bemidji State University junior goaltender Dan Bakala (Calgary, Alberta) has been named as the Inside College Hockey Player of the Week in a recent release by insidecollegehockey.com.
The national award marks just the fifth time BSU has had an individual selected for a weekly national honor. He follows Matt Dalton, a 2008-09 selection, Matt Climie who earned national accolades in 2007-08 and Grady Hunt and Brendan Cook who were each named USCHO.com Players of the Week during the 2003-04 season.
