Bandits and Terriers Battle for Final RBC Cup Berth

The AJHL Champion Brooks Bandits and SJHL Champion Yorkton Terriers will battle on Sunday afternoon for the final spot in the 2013 RBC Cup National Junior A Championship.

The Bandits fell 4-1 to the Surrey Eagles on Saturday night, but have one last chance to punch their ticket to the National Championship at the final game of the 2013 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup.  The Terriers will be looking to continue their momentum after eliminating the host Nanaimo Clippers from the tournament with a 5-3 win on Saturday afternoon.

Brooks and Yorkton met once previously this week, resulting in a 2-1 overtime victory for the Bandits in round-robin play.

The game will be played at 4:00pm local time in Nanaimo, BC and broadcast live on www.fasthockey.com.

The 2013 RBC Cup National Junior A Championship will be played in Summerside, PEI from May 11th – 19th, 2013.  The Minnesota Wilderness, Truro Bearcats, Surrey Eagles and Summerside Western Capitals have already secured their spot in the National Championship.
