Bandits Captain Plessis Named Alberta Ford Dealers Player of the Month

The first Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for the 2018-19 season is Nathan Plessis of the Brooks Bandits.  The 20 year-old Bandit leads the AJHL in scoring after the opening month of the season with 4 goals, 11 assists and 15 points. 

Plessis is averaging 2.1 points per game in his first seven games of the new season and has compiled a seven game point streak.  Plessis leads the AJHL in both total points and assists (11), and has made his mark in the special teams categories with 2 powerplay goals and 4 powerplay assists.

The third year Bandit recorded a career high 4-point game on September 16th with 2 goals and 2 assists in a 9-3 triumph over the Calgary Canucks.

Nathan Plessis (Salmon Arm, BC) was twice awarded as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game in September.  The first recognition came on September 22nd in a 7-3 win over the Camrose Kodiaks.  The second award followed shortly after on September 25th in a 5-4 win over the Olds Grizzlys – Plessis added 3 assists to his league leading tally in the victory. 

The Alberta Junior Hockey League is pleased to partner with the Alberta Ford Dealers Association and will recognize the AJHL Player of the Month throughout the regular season.  The AJHL and Ford also partner on the Alberta Ford Dealers Defensive Player of the Week.
