Bandits Complete Sweep of Proud Canucks

Not many people gave the Calgary Canucks a chance in the second round of Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs.Their task was tall, heading into a best-of-seven South Division showdown against the Brooks Bandits who ran the league this year and finished as the AJHL’s top team.

And while the Bandits predictably swept the series in four games, the Canucks didn’t make it easy. On Saturday night, they staged an impressive rally to force overtime in Game 4 at the Max Bell Centre, but simply could not match the firepower of the visitors and lost 4-3 in overtime.
