Talk about motivation.
Brooks Bandits GM/head coach Ryan Papaioannou found the video footage of a painful memory from a year ago.
And he made his players watch it.
“We played the video for the guys yesterday of Spruce Grove’s overtime winning goal last year,” Papaioannou said of the Saints’ 2-1 championship-clinching win in Game 6 of the 2015 AJHL final.
“We watched them celebrate and take a trophy on our ice.
“We just thought it was something our guys should see to give them a little extra motivation for the series.”
