Bandits McDougall Commits to University of Lethbridge

The Brooks Bandits are proud to announce that 20 year old Defenseman DJ McDougall has committed to play for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns. The Pronghorns play in the Canada West Division of the CIS and had a record of 13 – 10 – 5 last season.

DJ is from Fort McLeod, AB and played in the Lethbridge Athletic Association’s bantam and midget programs before joining the Bandits in 2007. DJ is one of the longest serving members of the Bandits organization playing 230 games over his four year career.

Head Coach/GM Ryan Papaioannou, “DJ exemplifies every quality that we look for in people and players. He is a rare commodity in junior hockey spending all four years of his career with one team and we are fortunate that was with us. DJ was an Assistant Captain for the past two seasons and is very highly respected by teammates and people within our community.”

The Bandits Organization would like to thank DJ and his family for the past four seasons of solidarity and wish him the best in his post secondary career.

DJ is the 6th Bandit to commit to post secondary hockey this season:

  • Andy Williams – Marian University
  • Bryce Wilson – Marian University

  • Ian Harvie – Williston State College
