Bandits to face Longueuil in National Semi-Final on Saturday

ESTEVAN, SK – The Brooks Bandits will face College Francais de Longueuil in the National Semi-Final in a rematch of their May 19th tournament opener, which saw Brooks win 5-2 at the 2022 Centennial Cup, presented by Tim Hortons.

Puck drop between Brooks and Longueuil in the Semi-Final is 4:00 pm (MST) at Affinity Place in Estevan.

The Semi-Final will be broadcast live on Real Country 105.7 FM, and will be streamed for free at hockeycanada.com/centennialcup.

College Francais defeated the Summerside Western Capitals 4-3 in the Quarter-Final on Friday.

Brooks finished 1st overall in the tournament with a perfect record (4-0-0-0) and 12 points. The Bandits had a +22 goal differential following Group A wins over Longueuil (5-2), Red Lake (11-4), Pickering (9-1) and Estevan (4-0).

The Bandits 29 goals-for in the round robin is 2nd all-time in Centennial Cup history.

Friday’s other Quarter-Final saw the Pickering Panthers win 3-2 in double overtime over the Flin Flon Bombers. Pickering faces the Dauphin Kings in the other National Semi-Final, which goes at 7:30 pm.
