Bandits to open Doyle Cup Friday

The Brooks Bandits, 2019 champions of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), will open the 2019 Doyle Cup playoff series against the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) champion Prince George Spruce Kings on Friday, April 26th, it was announced today.

The first two games are guaranteed to be at the Centennial Regional Arena in Brooks with Game 1 on the 26th followed by Game 2 on Saturday, April 27th.

If the first two games are split at 1-1, Game 3 would be in Brooks on Sunday, April 28th. If there is a sweep of the first two by one team, then Game 3 will be in Prince George on Tuesday, April 30th.

Either way, Game 4 will be in PG on Wednesday, May 1st, with all remaining games at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena. Game 5 will either be on Friday, May 3rd (if the first two are swept) or Thursday, May 2nd (if the first two are split). Game 6 would be Saturday, May 4th, and Game 7 on Sunday, May 5th.

All games will be at 7 PM local time. Bandit fans will be able to follow the game on Real Country 105.7 FM with pre-game coverage starting at 6:45 for Brooks games and 7:45 for games in BC.

Bandit season ticket holders will have the first right of refusal for their tickets up until 11am on each game day in Brooks. They can purchase their tickets by logging into their account at tickets.brooksbandits.ca, or contacting the Bandits office at (403) 501-0122. If the first two games are split, a box office will be opened for Game 3 ticket sales at the CRA front desk immediately following the conclusion of Game 2.
