The Bonnyville Pontiacs are very excited to announce that second year Pontiac forward Bobby Young has committed to the Holy Cross College Crusaders located in Worcester, Massachusetts for 2019/20. Bobby Young will join fellow teammate Grayson Constable who committed to the Crusaders program earlier this season. The PONTIACS are extremely happy for Bobby and his commitment is so well deserved.
Young registered 39 points in 49 games, including 19 goals, with the Pontiacs last season after joining the club following a mid-season trade. This year Young leads our team in assists with 22 and has 27 points in 35 games.
“Bobby is not only an on-ice leader on our team he is also a great teammate and respected leader in our dressing room,” said Pontiacs Head Coach Rick Swan. “He has all the abilities to become a top end NCAA Division I player and it is great to see Bobby rewarded for his hard work both on and off the ice. Bobby is a great character person who comes from a great, supportive family.”
Bobby Young becomes the 57th player who has played for the Pontiacs and committed to play college hockey since the 2013/14 season.
