Bobcats Seek Director of Business Operations

Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats Junior hockey club of the Alberta Junior Hockey League is looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual to act as Director of Business Operations. The successful individual will have strong marketing, promotion, supervisory, financial and administration skills. The successful individual will become a key member of a community owned-and-operated team that is focused on performance on and off the ice.

Reporting to the Lloydminster Bobcats Board of Directors and General Manager, the Director of Business is responsible for the overall management of the business operations, including sales and marketing, promotion, financial management, game day operations, staff supervision, and volunteers within the organization. The individual will work in conjunction with the coaching staff to organize the team sponsored events and other hockey related activities.

Candidates with extensive management/leadership experience along with related post-secondary education and/or designations will be considered. Applicants will have a proven history as effective team leaders, and be a self-starter who can work without close supervision.

The ideal candidate will possess:
• Post-secondary education in business management;
• Small business management experience, preferably in the operation of a junior hockey team;
• Proficient in MS Office and Simply Accounting software;
• Commitment to excellent customer service;
• Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders including staff, hockey operations, players, society members, volunteers, corporate partners and community groups.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. The office is located in Lloydminster, which offers quality affordable housing in the heart of world class recreational and outdoor opportunities.
