The Lloydminster Bobcats advance to the Alberta Junior Hockey League's North Division finals following a series sweep against the Whitecourt Wolverines, which concluded tonight at the Centennial Civic Centre.
Prior the series beginning, Bobcats’ Head Coach Gord Thibodeau said the team had been preparing for the best-of-seven series to go to just that, a seventh game. However, with the series concluded now, rest will play an important role.
“We talked to the boys about the fact that rest becomes so important when you get further along in the playoffs. We have three banged up players and it’s important for us to finish when we could,” Thibodeau said.
