Okotoks Oilers goaltender Brady Parker is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for January 2020. In 11 games through January, Parker posted a 10-0-1 record alongside the team?s 13-game win streak.
Brady Parker (Calgary, AB) recorded eight wins versus South Division opponents through January, including three wins versus the Brooks Bandits in a battle atop the standings. He also recorded wins over two of the top three teams in the North Division, the Bonnyville Pontiacs and Spruce Grove Saints. Parker allowed just one goal against in four of the Oiler victories.
The 19 year-old goalie closed the month with a 2.26 GAA and .911 save percentage in 11 games. Parker is 18-3-2 in the regular season and sixth among AJHL goaltenders with a 2.61 GAA. The Oilers have allowed the third fewest goals in the League at 122.
The second-year Oiler was a finalist for the League?s Top Goaltender Award in the 2018-2019 season.
Okotoks holds first place in the Viterra AJHL South Division with a record of 41-6-3 and 85 points. The Oilers moved into second place in this week?s CJHL Top 20 Rankings, second only to the Sherwood Park Crusaders in the national rankings.
