The Okotoks Oilers invite you to join us for our annual Cancer Awareness Weekend at Pason Centennial Arena. This year we are working with the Alberta Cancer Foundation in order to raise money for breast cancer research right here in Alberta.
The weekend will feature games on Friday October 25th vs. the Canmore Eagles and Saturday October 26th vs. the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Both games will be held at 7:00 pm.
There will be many special guests involved in the weekend including ceremonial puck drops from Miss Rodeo Okotoks Mattea Palin, and a surprise guest on Saturday night. The Alberta Cancer Foundation will also have a table set up with information and fun giveaways – be sure to stop by and say hi! As always, the players will be wearing special edition pink and black jerseys for the weekend that will be auctioned off to the highest bidders after the game on Saturday to help raise money for cancer research. A portion of ticket and merchandise sales from the weekend will also be donated to The Alberta Cancer Foundation once the final numbers are in.
We can’t wait to welcome you back to Pason for this exciting weekend; make sure to wear pink to show your support (if you aren’t wearing green and gold that is)!
