Brett Radford Commits to College of St. Scholastica

The Canmore Eagles are pleased to announce that forward Brett Radford has committed to play for the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota for the 2016-17 season.

Radford, a native of Campbell River, BC, played the past three seasons for the Eagles registering 37 goals and 45 assists in 172 regular season and playoff games.

The 6’2, 198 lb. forward will be following in the footsteps of several other Eagle alumni as Steven Phee, Justin Krabben and Luke Simpson also went on to attend the College of St. Scholastica.

“I’m really looking forward to joining their excellent hockey program and also advancing my education at the same time,” said Radford, who will be studying Business Management. “Canmore has been such an amazing place for me over the past three hockey seasons, that I’ve even stayed here to work for the past two summers. I’m really going to miss it, but I’m excited for what lies ahead. I would like to thank my parents for their never-ending support, my billet families, and the entire Eagle’s organization for all their help and assistance along the way.”

“Brett had to overcome a few serious injuries during his time in Canmore, but he never gave up, worked extremely hard and I’m very happy for him that this opportunity presented itself,” said Eagles Head Coach and General Manager Andrew Milne. “St. Scholastica is getting a big power forward with Brett and I think he will do very well there.”
