Busch Commits to Ohio State

The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce that Tyler Busch has committed to play for the Ohio State University Buckeyes, a member of the NCAA Div.1 Big 10 Conference. Tyler came to the Saints from the Baker Hughes Bobcats Midget Hockey program in the AMHL, as an affiliated player with the Saints last season Tyler played in 7 games with the Saints, scoring a goal while having 4 pims. This year, in his first as a full time Saint, Tyler has 8 goals 13 assists for 21 points and 38 pims through 31 games.

“Tyler is a big, strong player, with a high level of compete within in him.  Tyler has fit in very well with the Saints and is very deserving to play in a prestigious program such as Ohio State,” states Saints Head Coach Jason McKee. “We look forward to developing Tyler further as a dynamic two-way centre, towards his eventual departure to the NCAA”.

“I would like to thank the Spruce Grove Saints Organization, they have been nothing but supportive throughout this process.” says Busch  “I would also like to thank my parents who have pushed me to get to where I am so far in my hockey career.  I am very excited to move forward and eventually start my future with Ohio State.”
