Third year player Tyler Busch (Lloydminster, Ab) has been chosen to lead the Spruce Grove Saints as they pursue their 3rd consecutive AJHL championship.
“Tyler is a player that understands the day to day expectations of being a Saint. His compete level and on ice abilities will make him a great captain for our team heading into the 2015-16 season,” said Saints HC / GM Jason McKee.
Tyler enters his 3rd season as a Saint. Playing in 86 regular season games (7 as an AP), he has amassed 25 goals, 26 assists for 51 points and 85 PIMs. Tyler is committed to Ohio State University for the 2016-17 season.
“I am honoured to be named Captain of this great organization with such a successful history. To be listed amongst the great leaders this team has had over the years, is something I will not take for granted,” said Busch. “I would like to thank the Saints organization and coaching staff for the opportunity, and I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.”
