The Avalanche clinched the cup with a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning, winning the series 4-2 on Sunday.

Makar was named Playoff MVP, just days after winning the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s Top Defenceman. Makar finished with 29 points (8G, 21A) in 19 games, finishing third in NHL Playoff scoring and first amongst defenceman.
