Cam Newton Commits to Tufts University

The Bonnyville PONTIACS are extremely pleased to announce that defenseman Cam NEWTON has committed to the Tufts University Jumbos. The Jumbos compete in the NESCAC (New England Small College Athletic Conference) in the Men?s NCAA Division 3 Hockey League. Tufts University is located in Boston, Mass. and the Jumbos play out of the Malden Forum.

NEWTON came to the PONTIACS from the prestigious Detroit Victory Honda program coached by Bryan BURKE who has moved many of his players on to success in juniors, college and professional.

The Dexter, Michigan native played 43 games registering 3 goals and 4 assists.

I loved my time in Bonnyville and I became a better player and a better person.This was the closet team imaginable and the I learned so much. Bonnyville is a great place to play and develop,” says NEWTON.

Cam NEWTON becomes the 78th player to have played in Bonnyville since 2013/14 to move on to the college level.
