Brooks Bandits Goaltender, Jan Obernesser, is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the week of January 23rd – 29th, 2012. Obernesser was 3-0 over the week and stopped 86 of 92 shots in victories versus the Canmore Eagles, Fort McMurray Oil Barons and Bonnyville Pontiacs.
Jan Obernesser leads all AJHL Goaltenders with 30 wins and leads all South Division Goaltenders with a 2.22 GAA. Obernesser has already played over 2,500 minutes in net this season, second overall in the AJHL. The Bandits currently lead the AJHL South Division with 84 points.
Obernesser is a 19 year-old goaltender from Calgary, Alberta and is in his third season with the Bandits.
