Whitecourt Wolverines forward Sam Lawson is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week. During the week of December 2nd – 8th, Lawson scored 2 goals, 4 assists and 6 points in 3 games. Sam was awarded the Pro Hockey Life Player of the Game award on December 8th after recording 4 points against the Grande Prairie Storm.
Sam Lawson has recorded a point in seven of his last eight games and is tied for third in team scoring with 27 points in 24 games. The 20 year-old from Calgary, Alberta has committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Lawson has amassed 102 points in his AJHL career, which started in 2009 with the Drumheller Dragons.
