The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week is Brennan Saulnier of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Saulnier scored 3 goals, 3 assists and 6 points in three games to close out the month of January 2014.
Brennan Saulnier opened the week with a hat trick and a 4 point game in an Oil Barons win over the Bonnyville Pontiacs on January 28th. The hat trick was a first for Saulnier in the AJHL. Saulnier was selected as the Pro Hockey Life Player of the Game in two consecutive games – the first for his performance on January 28th and the second on January 29th against the Brooks Bandits. Brennan wrapped up the week with an assist on the game winner in a victory over the Calgary Mustangs on February 1st.
The 20 year-old forward from Halifax, NS is in his first AJHL season with the Oil Barons. Saulnier and the MOB hold second place in the AJHL North Division Standings with 81 points and 11 regular season games remaining.
