The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week is Jacob Schofield of the Drumheller Dragons. Jacob scored 3 goals, 6 assists and 9 points in three games over the week ending November 23rd, 2014, including a 6 point game on November 18th versus the Calgary Mustangs. The Dragons forward was also named the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game in two of three games played last week.
Schofield (Yellowknife, NWT) is 2nd in Team Scoring with 24 points in 27 games, and amongst the Top 20 in the AJHL Scoring Race. The 19 year-old is on a 5 game point streak in which he has recorded 12 points. Jacob Schofield is in his second AJHL season after spending his rookie season with the Whitecourt Wolverines in 2013-2014.
The Drumheller Dragons are 4th in a very tight South Division, in which only 6 points separate the top four teams. The Dragons are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.
