The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the opening week of the 2014-2015 AJHL Season is Jetlan Houcher of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Houcher opened the season with 7 goals in 5 games, including 3 powerplay goals and 2 game winning goals. He has recorded a goal in each of the 5 games played thus far.
Houcher (Paradise Valley, Alberta) is in his third season with the Oil Barons and 4th in the AJHL. His hat trick on September 12th was the first in his AJHL career and earned him the Viterra Star of the Game award. The Oil Barons Captain leads the League in goals, points and game winning goals.
