The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week is defenceman Ryan Black of the Bonnyville Pontiacs. Ryan tallied 1 goal and 6 assists during three games during the week of September 22nd – 28th. Black assisted on the game winning goals during both Pontiacs games at the Surge Energy AJHL Showcase, including the overtime winner versus Drumheller on September 26th. He also received the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game in the victory over Canmore on September 27th.
Ryan Black (Stillwater, Minnesota) leads all AJHL defencemen in scoring and sits amongst the Top 10 in the AJHL Scoring Race. He also leads the Pontiacs in scoring with 10 points in 8 games. The 19 year-old is in his second season with Bonnyville.
The Bonnyville Pontiacs sit third in the Viterra AJHL North Division with 11 points, after recording two consecutive wins at the AJHL Showcase.
