Brandon Whistle (Kelowna, BC) was rewarded as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game on November 20th versus Spruce Grove after recording 1 goal and 2 assists in an OT defeat. He also scored 2 goals in a shutout loss earlier in the week against Whitecourt. The 17 year-old rookie has 16 points (7G, 9A) and is among the Top 10 in AJHL Rookie Scorers.
The Alberta Ford Dealers Goalie of the Week is Zach Dyment of the Sherwood Park Crusaders. Dyment picks up the honour for the second time this season with a 2-0 record and 1.5 GAA during the week ending November 22nd. Dyment also received the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award on November 21st with a 3-2 win over the Canmore Eagles.
The 19 year-old from Abbotsford, BC is 8-1-1 through the opening months of his first AJHL season and is 6th among AJHL Goaltenders with a .912 SV%. Dyment and the Crusaders are 4th in the tight Viterra AJHL North Division Standings. The Cru are on a 3 game winning streak and have a record of 8-0-2 in the last 10 games.
