Canalta Hotels Player of the Week & AB Ford Defensive Player of the Week

Drumheller Dragons forward Brady Risk is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week.  The 20 year-old alternate captain scored 4 goals and 5 points in two wins for the Dragons over the weekend.

Brady Risk (Medicine Hat, AB) scored a goal and added an assist versus the Kodiaks on Saturday, January 11th as the Dragons defeated their divisional rival 5-4 in Camrose.  Risk picked up his seventh Viterra AHL Star of the Game award on Sunday afternoon when he scored his second hat trick of the season in a 6-1 win over the traveling Fort McMurray Oil Barons. 

The fourth year Dragon is second in team scoring with 45 points (23G, 22A) and is averaging 1.1 points per game.  Brady is committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks Nanooks for the 2020-21 season.

The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Jordan Di Cicco of the Brooks Bandits.  The 20 year-old defenceman recorded 4 points in two South Division wins from January 6th ? 12th.

On Friday night, Jordan earned his first Viterra AJHL Star of the Game in a 6-1 win over Olds.  He scored a goal and 2 assists in the Bandit victory.   Di Cicco scored his fourth goal of the season on Saturday night as the Bandits shut down the Canucks 8-0. 

Despite missing 17 games due to injury, Di Cicco sits seventh in D-Man Scoring with 24 points (4G, 20A) in 25 games. 

The Brooks Bandits hold top spot in the AJHL Standings with a record of 38-3-1 and remain ranked at #1 in the CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings.
