The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for December 2022 is Justin Barker of the Calgary Canucks. The 2002-born forward compiled a nine-game point streak through the final month of 2022, scoring 11 goals and nine assists for his hometown team.
Justin recorded six multi-point games, a hat trick, and two four-point performances in December. He also scored his first game winning goal of the season and was selected as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game three times. Justin started the month as the recipient of the Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week award for November 28th-December 4th, during which time he compiled a seven-point week with four goals and three assists.
Barker is in his third season with the Canucks and leads the team in scoring with 41 points (19G, 22A), as well as 12th overall in Alberta Junior Hockey League scoring.
