Bonnyville Pontiacs goaltender Cody Butikis is the winner of the 2024-25 Viterra Cup as the player with the most Star of the Game selections in the AJHL regular season.
Butikis (Sewell, NJ) earned the recognition of Viterra AJHL Star of the Game 14 times throughout the season – eight times on the road and six at the RJ Lalonde Arena on home ice. In his first AJHL season, the 2005-born goalie recorded 15 wins and a shutout for the Pontiacs. Cody is the first Pontiac to win the Viterra Cup and was also awarded as the 2024-25 MVP for the Bonnyville Pontiacs.
Each AJHL regular season game concludes with the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Award, which recognizes a player from each team deemed to be the game’s top player. Every time a player is recognized as a Viterra AJHL Star of the Game throughout the regular season, they will receive 5 points in the Viterra Cup Standings.

Cody Butikis attended the 2024 Philadelphia Flyers Development Camp and is eligible to return to the Pontiacs for a final season of Junior hockey in 2025-26.
The 2025 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs opened on March 21st with the top four teams in each division battling for the title of Division Champion. The South Division Champion and North Division Champion will compete in the 2025 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Final. Each series is a best-of-seven with the highest placed seed playing the lowest placed seed in the division.
