Grande Prairie Storm goaltender Connor Mackenzie is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for February 2022. Throughout the final month of the 2021-22 regular season, Mackenzie recorded eight wins in a post-season push, closing the month with a record of 8-2-1.
Connor Mackenzie, 19, recorded the most wins of all AJHL goaltenders in February alongside a .905 save percentage and 2.99 GAA. Connor posted his first AJHL shutout on February 22nd with a 23 save performance and received the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award. He would receive his second Star of the Game selection for the month, and fourth of the year, on February 26th in the final game of the season for the Storm.
Since joining the Storm in January 2022, Mackenzie (Toronto, ON) posted a 10-4-2 record, and was in the Top Ten of AJHL Goaltenders with a .907 save percentage.
