Junior A hockey is humming back and forth on Anthony Henday Drive this week.
The Alberta Junior Hockey League North Division semifinal playoff series features the Spruce Grove Saints and the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
Sherwood Park was on a five-game post-season winning streak after dispatching the Bonnyville Pontiacs in three straight games in an opening-round series and then shocking the Saints by winning the first two games of the current series in their home arena.
Surprised? You bet. The Saints finished in first place in the North Division, 36 points ahead of the Crusaders. But we all know it’s a different season come springtime.
