Crusaders Seek Game Day Coordinator

The Crusaders Game Day Coordinator position is a part time position, responsible for the coordinating of game day volunteers and events, the team’s game events, game day operations, and interacting with the general public on behalf of our team. The Game Day Coordinator will be responsible for setting up game day events, setup of the Crusaders Fan Shop, organizing our volunteers and training volunteers in positions of score sheet, season tickets, game day tickets, ticket packages and promoting the team throughout the Sherwood Park and area. The Game Day Coordinator will report directly to the Marketing Manager, as well as the General Manager and have the ability to work independently, be highly motivated, customer service driven and have the ability to make decisions in a quick manner.  The Candidate must be able to work ALL HOME GAMES, which occur in the evenings and on weekends.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Team Promotions
– Provide event planning support for team events
– Help manage social media (Facebook and Twitter)
– Help promote the team throughout Sherwood Park, Edmonton and Area
– Coordinate all home game promotions and fan interactions
– Fulfill all sponsor obligations during home games
– Help with the setup and coordination of the Crusaders annual dinner & auction fundraiser
– Coordinate technical aspects of the game night
– Develop innovative ideas to enhance game experiences (contests/promotions)
– Other promotional duties as assigned
Game Day Operations & Community Relations
– Work with community groups to involve Crusaders players (i.e. schools, senior centers)
– Promote activities throughout the Sherwood Park and area community
– Work closely with volunteers at every home game
– Coordinate and schedule volunteers for every aspect of game day operations
– Coordinate and supervise in-game promotions (includes on-ice entertainment)
– Develop innovative game-day scripts with the assistance of Marketing Manager Sales
– Sell season tickets and renew current Season Ticket Holders
– Sell ticket packages to games for teams and groups
-Game Day sales spreadsheet and reconciliations
-Petty Cash reconciliations
-Comfortable speaking with general public and volunteers of all ages
Requirements:
– Team Oriented
– Knowledge of the game of Hockey
– Grade 12 Diploma (Must be over 18)
– Experience with Game Day activities will be considered an asset
– 1-2 years’ experience in event planning
– Proficiency with Excel, Word, Adobe, Some accounting needed
– Excellent Customer service skills and personable approach
-Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
-Good judgement and decision making skills
-Ability to troubleshoot in a fast paced environment
– Ability to multitask is a must.
– Ability to lift 25lbs, Setup and take down of Fan Shop, Cash Office and promotions
Personal
– Must have a positive attitude and a strong commitment to the Crusaders franchise
– Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to individuals (including executives) or groups of people
– Must be available on weekends, evenings and holidays as required
– Must work odd hours as needed
– Passionate about hockey and making a difference for the Crusaders community
– Ability to work independently on multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
