Dakota Mason Commits to Plattsburgh State University

The Brooks Bandits are proud to announce that 20 year old Forward Dakota Mason has committed to play at Plattsburgh State University, beginning in the fall of 2013.  Located in Plattsburgh, NY the “Cardinals” play in the SUNYAC conference under long time Head Coach Bob Emery. Emery has led the Cardinals since 1989 and has compiled an incredible 523 wins during his time.

Dakota is from Edmonton, AB and is an alumnus of the SSAC Midget AAA program. From there he moved on to play for the Dawson Creek Rage of the NAHL before being acquired by the Bandits in the summer of 2011. In his first season with the Bandits Dakota helped pave the way to an AJHL Championship with 9 points in 11 playoff games. This season the skilled centerman scored 67 points in 55 games and became one of the leagues highest point per game scorers. Dakotka was also reconized by Hockey Canada in 2011 with an invite to the Team Canada West try out camp for the World Junior A Challenge.
