Defenceman Mike Zgraggen Commits to SAIT Trojans

The Lloydminster Jr. ‘A’ Bobcats are proud to announce that 20 year old defenceman Mike Zgraggen has accepted a scholarship and is committed to play for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Men’s Hockey Program of the Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference (ACAC).

Mike is originally from Lethbridge, Alberta, where he grew up playing minor hockey. In 53 games played this season, Mike scored 4 goals and 21 assists for 25 points and 54 penalty minutes. Over his 4 year Jr. ‘A’ career, Mike scored 8 goals and 34 assists for 42 points in 131 games while also accumulating 99 penalty minutes. Mike previously played for the Brooks Bandits and the Canmore Eagles before joining the Bobcats in 2011.

The Bobcats organization would like to congratulate Mike and his family and wish him all the best in his future endeavours both academically and athletically.

The Bobcats have now committed ten players from the team’s 2011-2012 roster to post-secondary hockey programs.
