Twenty year-old Brian Doust has committed to play university hockey for the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devils next season. The Blue Devils are located in Fredonia, New York, and play in the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
Brian amassed 53 goals and 110 assists in 191 AJHL games, most of which was spent wearing an Eagles’ sweater. Brian ranked third in the league for points per game and second the Eagles in assists during a season that was unfortunately shortened by injury.
“I want to thank the Eagles and the Canmore community for supporting me for three years. Playing hockey in Canmore and wearing the Eagles sweater was a real honor and privilege,” said Doust. “I wish the Eagles the best of luck in the future, and I’m proud to call myself an Eagle forever.”
“Brian is a very special player. His skill level sets him aside from others, and he has tremendous vision to make plays under pressure. He is a very exciting player to watch, and the Blue Devils will be very entertained watching Brian. The Eagles organization would like to congratulate him and his family for his accomplishments and thank him for his time in Canmore,” said head coach Andrew Milne.
