Dragons Hoping to Help Find Organ Donor

DRUMHELLER, AB- The Drumheller Dragons heard the story of a local resident who is in need of an organ donor and wanted to help. James Vogel, who has battled diabetes most of his life, is in need of a kidney transplant. His kidney function is currently 12% and is dangerously close to needing to be on dialysis. Vogel and his family have put decals on there vehicles in hopes of finding an organ donor and create awareness for others to consider donating.

With the help of Image Crafter Signs in Drumheller, the Dragons decided to utilize a spot on the boards in the rink for Vogel's message. This rink board will be seen by fans, minor hockey families, and visit teams to the Memorial Arena. It's this high traffic spot that the Dragons hope will lead James to the donor he requires.

Thursday morning the Dragons surprised Vogel with the rink board and provided the Vogel's with a family pack of game tickets for the remainder of the season.
