Eagles Captain Riley Point Commits to Red Deer College

The Canmore Eagles of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are pleased to announce that team captain Riley Point has committed to play for the Red Deer College Kings of the ACAC for the 2013-2014 season.

Point, played four years for the Canmore Eagles registering 43 goals, and 81 assists for 124 points in 213 career games.

Known as a tireless worker who came to play every night, Point dressed for all 60 regular season games for the Eagles last season, scoring 16 goals and 30 assists.  “I have had the opportunity to watch Riley play several times over the past few years and he brings a high level of competiveness, offensive ability, keen game sense, character and leadership,” said Red Deer College Kings Head Coach Trevor Keeper. “We are very much looking forward to having Riley in Red Deer for the next few seasons.”

Canmore Eagles head coach Andrew Milne was equally full of praise for Point.  “I can’t say enough good things about what Pointer brings to the table every night,” said Milne. “Riley did everything we could possibly ask of him. He was true warrior and an inspirational leader both on and off the ice. I have no doubt that he will be a great addition to the Red Deer team and we wish him the best of luck in his future hockey challenges.
