The Canmore Eagles took another step towards putting together their 2013-2014 roster after hosting last weekend’s spring camp.
The camp brought around 135 players from Banff, Canmore and around Alberta and Western Canada looking to make an impression on Eagles coaches and scouts to the Canmore Recreation Centre for three days of games and evaluations.
While the Alberta Junior Hockey League club is still a long way from completing its roster for next season, general manager/ head coach Andrew Milne said the camp helped staff hone in on some impressive talent.
“For us, it’s a good chance to get to see them and for them to get a feel for our program. It’s a recruiting process, and this is a big step in the recruiting process. There will be some kids that were in this camp that’ll play for us this year,” said Milne.
