John Edwardh will be in the nightmares of the Camrose Kodiaks.
The Okotoks Oilers rookie on Tuesday night scored his fifth goal and third game-winner of the series to give his Alberta Junior Hockey League team a 2-1 win over Camrose in Game 4, sending them to the South Division final with a sweep of the Bears.
“I think that’s his fifth game-winning goal of the playoffs,” said Okotoks head coach/GM James Poole of the former Calgary Buffaloes star.
“He’s just been a clutch player for us.”
With the score knotted 1-1 midway through the third period, Camrose’s Luc Vandale was assessed a boarding penalty, setting the stage for Edwardh’s game-winner on the power play, a goal set up by Connor Hartley and Robbie Fisher.
