Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are thrilled to announce Ethan Aucoin has committed to the St. Cloud State University Huskies.
Located in St. Cloud, Minnesota the Huskies compete in the NCAA Division I National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC), under Head Coach Brett Larson.
“Ethan has been an outstanding player and person for our organization since coming to the Border City. His excitement and energy every day for the game of hockey has been contagious in our group and it makes coming to the rink everyday fun,” stated Bobcats Head Coach and General Manager Nigel Dube. “Ethan has been dedicated and put the work in to play a complete game this season, he has elite level offensive skill but has matched that same effort on the defensive side of the puck and this commitment is very deserving.”
Aucoin, 19, leads the Bobcats in points this season with 32 goals and 27 assists in 57 games. In a shortened development season with the Bobcats in 2020-21, he registered 5 goals and 3 assists in 8 games. In 2019-20, Aucoin lead the AMHL in goals with the Calgary Northstars where he registered 27 goals and 12 assists in 32 games.

The Lloydminster Bobcats would like to congratulate the Aucoin family on his commitment to the St. Cloud Huskies and NCAA Division I hockey. Aucoin becomes the second commitment this season for the Bobcats joining Zafir Rawji (MRU – Usport).
