Former Calgary Mustang forward Connor Hamilton picked up a bronze statue and nearly $1,000 at the Calgary Stampede winning the Novice Bareback.
Hamilton was tied for second after the first go, scoring a 75.5 on Calgary Stampede horse Y Get Erotic. In the short go, Connor rode Calgary Stampede bucking horse Xrated Dancer to a score of 80.0 for a total of 155.5 on two. With one rider left, the former Mustangs forward watched as the first go leader Cole Snider rode his horse, but was bucked off giving Hamilton the 2015 Novice Bareback title.
In his AJHL career, Connor scored 8 goals and recorded 14 points in 71 games over two seasons with the Mustangs.
The Calgary Mustangs organization would like to congratulate Connor on his achievement and hope for a bright rodeo future for him.
